CTSU led Heart & Vascular services for patient experience the past 4 of 5 years. The unit was recently highlighted in Cathy's Corner for going above and beyond.
CTSU achieved Tier 1 status in 2016. The team was Tier 3 in 2018. Through team engagement, a healthy work environment was established. CTSU is high Tier 2 in 2021, with a high engagement score.
It is important to provide meaningful recognition so staff members know their efforts are appreciated.
Teammates nominate one another for the monthly CTSU Rock Star Award. I engage unit leaders to nominate a winner for the H&V Employee of the Month. I nominate unit and service line leaders for Nurse Leader, NSRW, Carolina Care, & Great 100 Nurse awards every year.
CTSU End of Year Awards provide an opportunity for teammates to recognize one another. Winners are announced at the annual holiday party, whether it is in-person or virtual.
